We are delighted that our collection “Arbeitswelten – Neue Perspektiven aus Räumen der Re/Produktion” has just been published with Springer.

With 19 contributions from 26 authors, this is the first comprehensive publication to emerge from the AK Labour Geography project.

The volume

  • introduces labour geography as a distinct research perspective to German-speaking academia.
  • strengthens labour geography in the German-speaking region by developing it further and highlighting interdisciplinary connections.
  • provides a holistic view of the theories, methods, and research practices of labour geography.
  • addresses topics such as social reproduction; migration and precarity; global production and logistics networks; digitalisation; work, transformation and values; and doing labour geography.

The volume is freely accessible with a university account: https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-662-70955-9

You can, of course, also order the book for your libraries.

If you have any questions or comments about the volume, please feel free to get in touch (via email: michaela.doutch@uni-bonn.de).

We hope you enjoy reading it!
